Dinesh's Vlog Storyboard 2

The talking cut. One continuous phone-selfie take at the park: Dinesh sets up, stalls honestly, shows his code and the little island he is building, and lands the whole point of E2 in one line. Dialogue with sound, subtitles burned in. Directed by Dave.

Beat 1

The Setup

0:00

No dialogue. Wide shot: Dinesh on the park bench reaching for the phone camera, laptop closed beside him, a little nervous. The recording timer in the corner sells the selfie framing.

Beat 1
Park bench, golden afternoon. He is setting up and hoping nobody is watching.

DINESH: "Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel! So, I've never really done one of these before."

Beat 2
Beat 2
Big wave, bigger grin, straight into the lens. The confidence lasts about two seconds.
Beat 3

This Is Me

0:09

DINESH: "This is, uh... this is me! And I'm just a guy that likes to make stuff, I guess."

Beat 3
The honest stall. He scratches his head, regroups, and keeps going. This is the charm of the whole piece.
Beat 4

DINESH: "So, this is my code, and I've been trying to build this 3D world in my free time."

Beat 4

The low-poly island on the laptop screen, and he completely understates it. The understatement is the pitch.

Earnest, then the big smile. The whole E2 story in one breath, ending on the invitation.
Format

How This One Is Made

Shooting Script - The Talking Vlog Format
DINESH'S VLOG, STORYBOARD 2 - THE TALKING CUT
============================================================
Format: ONE continuous phone-selfie take, 16:9. Dialogue WITH
sound, subtitles burned in. A first for the desk: the character
actually talks, in his own voice, straight to the viewer.
Character: young Dinesh, glasses, messy black hair, blue hoodie
over a code-symbol t-shirt. Insecure at first, warms up.
Setting: a park bench, golden afternoon, phone on a mini tripod,
recording timer visible in the corner of frame.
Props: the laptop. It starts closed, opens for the code, turns
for the island.

THE BEATS (want vs obstacle: he wants you to believe in the
little world he is building; what stops him is that he has
never done this before and it is not much yet):
1. SETUP (no dialogue): wide bench shot, reaching for the
   camera, nervous glance around.
2. COLD OPEN: "Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel! So, I've
never really done one of these before."
3. THIS IS ME: "This is, uh... this is me! And I'm just a guy
that likes to make stuff, I guess."
4. THE CODE: turn the laptop. "So, this is my code, and I've
been trying to build this 3D world in my free time."
5. THE LITTLE ISLAND: "It's not much yet, it's just this
little island I made. I'm not really an expert or anything.
Honestly, I'm still learning most of this as I go."
6. THE INVITE: "We're just trying to make something different,
you know? Trying to build a kinder internet. When I'm done,
   come play it at E2.life."

RECIPE FOR FUTURE VLOGS (Sally's, Mike's, anyone's):
open mid-wave, keep one honest stall, show the work on a
screen instead of describing it, understate the work, land
the why in one plain line, end on the invite and the smile.
Never cut away. The single take is the honesty.
