His story
Mr. Finley practiced law for forty years in a small town, the kind of lawyer with a brass nameplate and a door that was always open. He defended the little guy, wrote wills for families who paid in pies, and never sent a bill anyone couldn't afford.
He owns a bow tie for every day of the year. Three hundred and sixty-five of them. Ask him about any one and he'll tell you the case he wore it to, the client it reminds him of, and the lesson it taught him.
The day he retired, a young lawyer asked him his secret. He smiled and said: "Behind every contract is a person. Read the paper, but look at the person." Then he packed his bow ties and came to E2.
