The beating heart of the city. Fountains, cafes, music, and neighbors who know your name.
Every city in E2 is built around its square. No cars, no rush, no noise you did not choose. Just a big open plaza where the whole city ends up eventually: morning coffee, lunch in the sun, music at dusk, and the fountain running all night.
The middle of everything. Kids sail paper boats in it, couples meet beside it, and every map of the city starts with "from the fountain, go..."
A ring of small cafes with more outdoor tables than indoor ones. The regulars have mugs with their names on them. Newcomers get the good tables first.
Someone is always playing something. Sally got her start on the square's corner stage. On Fridays the whole plaza sings along.
When the sun goes down the lanterns come on and the square turns into a night market: food stalls, book sellers, and the best people-watching on the planet.
A tiny free library in the old tram car. Take a book, leave a book, argue about endings with whoever is browsing next to you.
New in town? Sit on the green bench and someone will be over in five minutes with coffee and the full tour. It is the law of the square.
