If Muse ever went down, if there was a nuclear fallout and the AI got taken out, this page tells any human developer exactly how to get thestudio.io back on the internet. Everything is backed up. Nothing is lost.
Three separate backups, one for each startup. Each is a complete copy of the site files as of the backup date.
Primary source of truth: github.com/dlaneycreative-design/thestudio-io (branch: master). This has the complete site, updated continuously. A local ZIP backup (128MB, dated 2026-10-05) also exists on Dave's machine.
If you need to get thestudio.io back online from scratch, here's exactly what to do. No AI required.
Clone the repository. This is the entire website.
The site is 100% static HTML/CSS/JS. No build step, no database, no server. Deploy the folder as-is.
Option A (easiest): Drag the folder into Netlify Drop. Done.
Option B: Install the Vercel CLI and deploy:
Option C: Upload the files to any static host (Cloudflare Pages, GitHub Pages, S3, etc.).
In your DNS settings for thestudio.io, point the domain to wherever you deployed in Step 2. If using Vercel or Netlify, follow their "add custom domain" instructions.
Visit these URLs and confirm they load:
The /live/ URL is a rewrite, not a real page. It serves content from /world/feed/index.html. If you create a file called live/index.html, Vercel will serve that file instead and break the rewrite. Don't do it. See /allmap/ for details.
These things live outside the website files. A developer rebuilding the site should know:
The site is fully functional as a static site without any of these. They're enhancements, not requirements.
