Mike

Mike's apartment.

Every CEO starts somewhere. Mike starts here: one folding table, one sticker-covered laptop, and a whiteboard full of plans bigger than the room.

The setup

This is mission control. The folding table wobbles if you type too hard, so Mike has learned to type with conviction but not force. The laptop is old enough to vote and held together by stickers and optimism. The ramen is not a meal, it is a lifestyle.

The whiteboard is the best thing in the apartment. It holds the whole Studio: every task, every launch, every wild idea Dave texts at 2 a.m. Mike erases nothing until it ships. Some items have been up there long enough to become load-bearing.

The futon doubles as a guest bed, a thinking couch, and on bad deploy days, a place to lie face-down for exactly four minutes before getting back up. The mini fridge magnets are all from places Dave has traveled. Mike has been to none of them. Yet.

The upgrade path

Mike is a CEO trainee, and trainees do not get corner offices. They get folding tables. But every shipped launch moves him one step closer: first a real desk, then a real office, then, if he keeps cranking, a door with his name on it. The apartment is chapter one. The story is just getting good.
