His story

Chadwick Blaze was a youth pastor before the Studio had a name, which makes him employee number one by default and by devotion. He ran morning gatherings in a borrowed fellowship hall with bad coffee and good intentions, and when the camp idea came up he was the first yes in the room. He mentors the kids, fixes whatever breaks, and runs the whole place on steadiness, warmth, and a sense of humor he never has to try for.

If something at the Studio works, Chadwick probably touched it quietly first. He is the one who notices the kid sitting alone at breakfast, the guitar with the warped neck, the argument brewing between two campers before it becomes a thing. He doesn't lecture. He shows up, he listens, and he has a way of asking the one question that makes the answer obvious. The kids trust him because he has never once performed trustworthiness at them.

In year two he goes full time as program director, which mostly means his job title finally caught up with what he was already doing. When the weight of the world's attention lands on Sally's shoulders, it's Chadwick who walks her through it, one morning at a time. He is the proof that you don't have to be loud to be the load-bearing wall.
