His story
Henri Hue arrived at the Studio from Lyon with a beret, a baguette, and unshakable opinions about kerning. He is the Studio's first real designer, which means every pixel on every page now has to answer to him. He has already redesigned the napkin holder.
He introduces himself as "ahn-REE oo," and nobody has ever gotten it right on the first try. Henri Hugh. Henry who. Henry you. He stopped correcting people in week one and started collecting the mispronunciations like wine labels. Dave calls him Henri Hugh. The confusion is now officially part of the brand.
His design philosophy is simple: white space is a moral position, Comic Sans is a cry for help, and if the button doesn't make you want to press it, the button has failed as a button. He works late, he drinks the good wine while he works, and he has never once shipped something he wasn't proud of.
